Our Mission

Welcome to St. Martin’s-in-the-Field Day School. We are an Episcopal school located in the heart of Severna Park. Founded in 1957, St. Martin’s has over 50 years of experience in educating children. Our program for 3-year-olds through eighth grade is supported by fantastic, well-qualified faculty who live the mission of the school as we Teach the Mind and Touch the Heart.

St. Martin’s molds and shapes children and young adolescents, in partnership with parents, to be lifelong learners, leaders, and friends. Strong academics are coupled with a strong moral foundation, empowering St. Martin’s students to leave their mark on this world. Small classes, low student/ teacher ratios, weekly chapel, and extracurricular activities including sports and fine arts provide a winning combination for our students.

As you visit our website, I hope you will begin to sense the joy and passion that reside throughout our school. We also invite you to experience our school in action, joining us on Welcome Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., for a personal tour and observation of active learning in our classrooms.
