STUDENTS AND PARENT RETURN FROM HAITI TRIP - APRIL 2011
THANK YOU for your prayers for us while we were in Haiti two weeks ago. What an incredible experience for all of us on the trip. St. Martin’s sent a group of parishioners and school representatives to our sister school La Resurrection in Gros Morne, Haiti, last month. Charlotte Kurtz (8th Grade) and Ginger Ellis (7th Grade), both of whom attend St. Martin’s Middle School, were our youngest delegates and returned inspired to do and give more. Greg Saunders, my friend and a former day school parent, is traveling to Haiti in two weeks for a rebuilding mission. He is willing to bring up to 3 additional suitcases filled with supplies, which is a cost effective way to send goods to Haiti. UPS and FedEX run approximately $45/pound. If you have something laying around your house, and wish to contribute, please have your child bring the item(s) to school between Thursday, April 7 and Thursday, April 14. Make sure it is clearly marked “HAITI TRIP.” Whatever you give will go directly to the people of Gros Morne and La Resurrection School. Thank you. Your help means everything to our sister school in Haiti!
